Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive QA Engineer with 1.5 to 2 years of experience in software testing, particularly within E-commerce and CMS platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating complex workflows, integrations, and user experiences across dynamic e-commerce web applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless functionality, scalability, and reliability of our software solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, execute, and optimize manual and automated test cases tailored for E-commerce and CMS projects.
- Validate shopping cart flows, payment gateways, product catalogs, and content publishing workflows.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar, ensuring clear communication of issues.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent UI/UX responsiveness.
- Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, UI/UX, Compatibility testing for frequent releases and updates.
- Collaborate with developers to review requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and contribute to test strategy discussions.
- Validate API integrations (payment, shipping, CMS plugins) using tools like Postman.
- Contribute to test documentation including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Ensure timely reporting of test results and highlight risks or blockers to stakeholders.
- Suggest improvements in QA processes and contribute to best practices for E-commerce and CMS testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1.5–2 years of hands-on QA experience with E-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) and CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, Strapi, Sanity etc).
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
- Experience with test management tools.
- Exposure to version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :
- Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) along with Basic knowledge of SQL for validating product and order data.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in performance testing for high-traffic E-commerce sites.
